Silver Medalist at the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition and winner of the 73rd Geneva International Music Competition, Dmitry Shishkin has been acclaimed for his creative individuality and distinctive approach to music. Critics have described him as an “electrifying and flamboyant pianist, of great musical honesty and rigor,” and many regard him as one of the most remarkable pianists of his generation.

Shishkin performs regularly on the world’s leading stages across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa. His international career has brought him to audiences around the globe, earning him recognition as a pianist of extraordinary stature.

He has appeared with many of the world’s leading orchestras, including the Tokyo Symphony, Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, Warsaw Philharmonic, National Orchestra of Belgium, Staatskapelle Weimar, and the Russian National Orchestra, among others.

Shishkin is a frequent guest at prestigious festivals such as Verbier, La Roque d’Anthéron, Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier, Bergen International Festival, “Chopin and His Europe” Festival, and the Bergamo Brescia Festival.

Currently based in Switzerland, Dmitry began his studies at the Gnessin Moscow School of Music with Mikhail Khokhlov, continued at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Eliso Virsaladze, and later studied in Sicily at the “Vincenzo Bellini” State Conservatory in Catania with Epifanio Comis and in Hannover at the Musikhochschule with Arie Vardi.
